Baderwah, September 28:
The G. R. Beigh Memorial Trust* today launched its Barefoot Nasha Mukt Abhiyan in Baderwah, aiming to create awareness against the growing menace of drug abuse and to encourage youth towards a healthier, addiction-free lifestyle.
The initiative was formally launched by the Trust’s leadership in the presence of a large gathering of locals, students, and community members. The event emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in eradicating substance abuse from society.
On the occasion, Qaiser Shah, Chief Organizer, and Abid Farooq, Vice Chairman of the Trust, accompanied the leadership team and reiterated their commitment to spreading the message of hope, awareness, and rehabilitation at the grassroots level.
The Barefoot Nasha Mukt Abhiyan will include awareness drives, community interactions, youth engagement programs, and counseling sessions across different regions to address the challenges posed by drug addiction.
The Trust urged all stakeholders, including civil society, educational institutions, and youth groups, to join hands in this noble cause to build a healthier and drug-free future for Jammu & Kashmir.
