ANTF Arrests Lady Who Has Been Absconding For Past 3 Yrs in NDPS Case: Police

Police on Friday said that continuing its unwavering operation against drug peddlers, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting a hard-core lady drug peddler namely Tamana Ashraf daughter of Mohammad Ashraf resident of Batamaloo Srinagar involved in FIR No. 10/2023 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act registered at ANTF Jammu and was evading her arrest for last 03 years.

In a handout to GNS, the police said that the lady accused is involved in trafficking of more than 7 Kgs of Chars which was being sent to Mumbai through Courier Services. The said lady was evading her arrest since the date of registration at different States across the country, however, due to continues efforts of ANTF J&K, the said lady was tactfully apprehended from her residence at Batamaloo Srinagar on 1 January, 2026.

The relentless efforts of ANTF J&K and intelligence-led operation led to the successful apprehension, showcasing their commitment to curbing narcotics crimes, reads the statement.
