Continuing its relentless efforts to curb the menace of drug trafficking, Pulwama Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of contraband substance in Litter area.
Acting on credible information, a team from Police Station Litter conducted a raid at a residential tent (juggi) located at Brick Kiln J71, Wahipora. During the search, officers recovered 549 grams of a charas-like substance from the possession of one Papoo, son of Vilasyat, resident of Kamriya, Uttar Pradesh, currently residing at Brick Kiln J71, Wahipora. The accused was arrested on the spot.
Accordingly, FIR No. 86/2025 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Litter, and further investigation is underway.
