Jammu, Sept 30:
The Directorate of School Education Jammu has announced new timings for government and private schools across the division.
An order said from October, schools in the Summer Zone will function between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, while from November onwards, the timings will shift to 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
However, schools falling within Jammu Municipal Corporation limits and nearby urban areas will continue with the 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule.
In the Winter Zone, schools will operate from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM starting October 1.
The department has warned that strict action will be taken against institutions deviating from the order.
