Budgam, Sep 18 : Railway authorities on Thursday announced that the special Vastodom train will operate from Budgam to Katra for next 15 days.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that in view of the Jammu–Srinagar national highway closure between September 19 and October 3, 2025, the train number 74688 Vastodom Special will run for the next 15 days.
Officials said the decision has been taken to facilitate local passengers who are facing difficulties due to the highway shutdown.
The special service will provide an alternative travel option for people during the period of road closure, official said.
They added that necessary arrangements are being put in place to ensure smooth operations and to meet the travel demand on this route. (KNC)
