During the meeting, Chief Education Officer Srinagar, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, presented a detailed briefing on the ongoing activities, administrative functioning and the progress of various educational initiatives across the district.
While addressing the officers, Mr. Wani placed special emphasis on strengthening foundational learning.
*“Primary education is the backbone of our entire academic system. If we build strong foundations in the early grades, the outcomes at higher levels will automatically improve,”* the Director remarked, urging officers to ensure focused attention on early learning standards.
Mr. Wani further urged the officers to thoroughly review all preparations for the upcoming academic session and submit complete details to the Directorate through concerned Chief Education Officers. DSEK, directed all concerned officers of Kashmir Division to personally visit every school within their jurisdiction, assess facilities and promptly inform the Directorate regarding required interventions.
The DSEK added that all Chief Education Officers of Kashmir Division must stay prepared, as district-wise review meetings will be conducted in coming days.
Reviewing key issues such as PARAKH, New Enrolments, infrastructure gaps and the National Achievement Survey (NAS), the Director instructed officers to identify and resolve any bottlenecks at their level and ensure a 100% effective monitoring system through regular school visits.
It is noteworthy that on 10th December, the Director School Education Kashmir conducted a similar review meeting in Kupwara district, where academic and administrative matters were comprehensively assessed.
