DODA, OCTOBER 30: An Interaction session was convened at the District Centre of Department of Information and Public Relation (DIPR) here today.
District Information Officer (DIO) Maneet chaired the meeting aimed to enhance coordination and streamlining the dissemination of public information.
The members of the media fraternity highlighted issues concerning media coverage, infrastructure support and timely dissemination of official press releases and strengthening coordination between the administration and journalists. The DIO assured to look into the genuine concerns and address the same in a time-bound manner.
The DIO emphasized the vital role of the media in shaping public opinion and promoting transparency and accountability in governance. He encouraged journalists to continue their constructive reporting and strengthen the flow of verified and positive information from the district.
The meeting was attended by President District Media Association Fiaz Pampori and other members of the media fraternity, besides officials of the District Information Centre. The session concluded with a note of mutual cooperation and a collective commitment to enhance effective communication between the district administration and the media fraternity.
