Budgam, Dec 15, :

Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravindar Pal Singh on Monday conducted an intensive traffic enforcement drive on the Magam Gulmarg Road, issuing 109 challans and seizing four vehicles under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The operation was carried out in coordination with DSP Traffic Budgam Farooq Ahmad and other traffic officials. Officers said fines were imposed on motorists found violating traffic rules, particularly in stretches where repeated instances of mismanagement and obstruction had been reported.

Speaking during the drive, the SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir cautioned that strict legal action would be taken against drivers who continue to flout traffic laws. He said enforcement measures have been intensified across rural districts to address congestion and minimise road accidents.

Officials noted that the action followed persistent public complaints regarding frequent violations on the Magam Gulmarg Road corridor. Motorists were advised to adhere to traffic regulations to ensure smooth movement and public safety.

Traffic Police urged locals to cooperate with enforcement teams and contribute to safer and more disciplined road conditions.
