In a heartfelt appeal, Congress leader Er. Danish Reshi has urged the district administration Srinagar to take urgent and compassionate measures for the rehabilitation of fire victims of Narparistan Fatehkadal, who lost their homes and belongings in a devastating blaze.
Expressing deep anguish over the tragedy, Er. Danish Reshi said, “It’s heartbreaking to see families standing amidst the ashes of what once was their home. They are left with nothing but memories and grief. The administration must act swiftly to provide immediate relief, shelter, and long-term rehabilitation for these distressed families.”
He emphasized that timely government intervention, financial support, and community solidarity are crucial at this hour to help the affected families rebuild their lives.
Reshi further added that no family should be left abandoned in the cold and appealed to social organizations and local citizens to extend every possible help — from food and clothing to emotional support.
“This is not just an administrative issue, it’s a human tragedy. We must stand together with compassion and restore hope to those who have lost everything,” he said.
Er. Danish Reshi also urged the district disaster management authorities to conduct a prompt assessment of damages and ensure fair compensation for every affected household.
