Continuing its sustained crackdown on absconders and proclaimed offenders, J&K police have arrested a wanted accused who had been evading arrest for the past seven years in Kulgam.
The arrested individual has been identified as Mohammad Fareed Bajard son of Mohammad Qasim resident of Gundah Khawas, Rajouri, wanted in Case FIR No. 74/2018 under sections 323 and 354 RPC of Police Station Yaripora. The accused had been on the run since 2018 to evade arrest. Acting on specific intelligence, a Police team successfully traced and apprehended him after persistent efforts. Following completion of legal formalities, he was produced before the Hon’ble Court.
