Today, as we observe the 29th death anniversary of Kh. Ghulam Rasool Beigh, President of the All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation, Municipal Employees Association, and Municipal Pensioners Association — and one of the founding pillars of the State Trade Union movement — we remember a visionary whose life was dedicated to justice, dignity, and the welfare of employees across Jammu & Kashmir. His tireless commitment and unshakable courage remain an inspiring testament for generations.
We also pay heartfelt homage to Madam Fatima Rasool Beigh, Chief Patron of the G.R. Beigh Memorial Foundation, on her 1st anniversary on 14th December 2025. A guiding force of compassion and grace, she upheld the legacy of service with unmatched sincerity.
On this solemn occasion, social and political organisations, NGOs, trade unions, and traders joined together to express deep affection and profound respect for Kh. Ghulam Rasool Beigh, reaffirming the timeless impact of his struggle and service.
A special tribute must be extended to the G.R. Beigh Memorial Foundation, under the dynamic and selfless leadership of Chairman Mr. Ishtiyaq Beigh, whose work is a continuation of this noble legacy. The Foundation has: Organised hundreds of medical camps Conducted blood donation drives and contributed 26 blood points so far
Provided ration support to poor familis on special occasions
Extended one-time financial aid to orphan girls, led Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan rallies, Carried out remarkable barefoot awareness marches by the Chairman himself
These acts of service truly reflect the spirit, values, and humanity of Kh. Ghulam Rasool Beigh and Fatima Rasool Beigh.
Their legacy lives on — not in words, but in every life touched, every hand uplifted, and every step taken to serve humanity.
On 11 December 2025 and 14 December 2025, prayers and Qur’an Khani for their maghfirat will be organised at the Head Office of the Foundation and across all districts.
May their souls rest in eternal peace, and may their mission of service continue to illuminate the path for all.
