Shopian, Dec 12 : A toddlerdied after a tragic incident was reported from Chotipora area on Friday after accidentally falling into a pond near his home.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the toddler, identified as Mehran Zakir, son of Zakir Ahmad Kohli, a resident of Check Chotipora Shopian, slipped into a nearby pond.
He was immediately rushed to District Hospital Shopian, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The incident has left the entire locality in shock and grief. Police have taken cognizance of the matter.
