Three people, including the driver of an auto-rickshaw and two devotees visiting the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, lost their lives while two others were injured in a tragic road accident near Serli village in Katra on Tuesday morning.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the accident occurred when an auto-rickshaw and a bus coming from the Helipad towards Katra collided head-on.
The impact was severe, leaving three persons dead on the spot, while two others sustained injuries, official said.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, and their condition is being monitored.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
