Srinagar, Oct 19: Aga Mehmood is likely to be the National Conference candidate for upcomming Budgam by polls, sources said on Sunday.
Quoting insiders from national conference, KNS reported that, a meeting held yesterday at 5 PM witnessed differences over the seat.
While Quoting Sources KNS reported that, Omar Abdullah had proposed former Apni Party leader Muntazir Mohiuddin, but Dr Farooq Abdullah is learnt to have insisted on fielding a Shia candidate from the constituency.
Following the disagreement, Omar Abdullah reportedly walked out of the meeting, sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS).
Muntazir Mohiuddin had extended support to Omar Abdullah in the 2024 Assembly elections.
