09-Days Trekkers- Residential Trekking Camp Concluded at Pahalgam by YSS Anantnag

The District Youth Services & Sports Office Anantnag successfully concluded a vibrant and adventurous 09-Day Residential Trekking Camp at the world-famous tourist destination Pahalgam, witnessing the enthusiastic participation of around 190 Boys and Girls from various schools of the district.

The camp, conducted under the supervision of trained officials and expert guide trekkers, provided students with an enriching blend of physical endurance, adventure, environmental awareness, and teamwork. Throughout the nine days, the young trekkers explored several iconic and scenic locations, making the entire experience memorable and educational.

During the course of the trekking programme, the students trekked through some of the most celebrated destinations of Pahalgam like, Aru Valley, Betab Valley, Old Shikargah, Pahalgam Golf Course and other picturesque forest and hillside routes. Each of these routes offered a unique blend of natural beauty and challenging terrain, helping the participants enhance their trekking skills while deepening their appreciation for the region’s rich ecological heritage.

Adding to the charm and enthusiasm of the trekking camp, special Camp Fires were organised every evening, where students engaged in recreational and cultural activities. These lively sessions fostered team spirit, boosted confidence, and provided the participants with moments of joy and relaxation after their trekking expeditions.

The District Youth Services & Sports Office Anantnag extends special thanks to the dedicated and supportive team members whose tireless efforts played a pivotal role in the smooth and successful conduct of the event including Khurshid Ahmad War,  Ghulam Mohammad, Manzoor Ahmad, Rayees Ahmad, Rehaina Ali, Aliya Jan, Maqsooda Jan, along with the highly skilled Guide Trekker Sh. Rayees Ahmad Mir for his expertise and guidance throughout the routes. Special acknowledgment is also accorded to Shahid Altaf Khan (Press & Publicity Wing) for his constant support and media coordination during the entire camp.

The District Youth Services & Sports Office congratulates all the participants for their active involvement and exemplary discipline throughout the 09-Day Residential Trekking Camp. The Office remains committed to providing such meaningful platforms that promote physical fitness, adventure spirit, and overall personality development among the youth.
